Bluff In Wartime
Paperback Edition: 1
In 1938 the world was slowly but inevitably moving to war. In that year the Moon family moved to Bluff, a busy port at the southern extremity of the South Island of New Zealand. During the war it played a key part in shipping food
to the people of Britain. The Moon family were there for the wars duration. In February 2021, some 83 years after the familys first arrival, Bruce Moon revisited Bluff with his daughter Sally and his memories were rekindled. This book relates his stories of Bluff people, retold as if it were yesterday! There are reminiscences of colourful characters, families now gone and vivid descriptions of their way of life. As Bruce makes clear, Bluff had its own personality then and it still does!
